District Governor Melody St. John lit up our dining room with positivity and terrific ideas on Tuesday, Sept. 17.  All DGs are expected to visit the clubs in their districts but Melody’s was a different kind of drop-in. Accompanied by her Executive Aide, Kelly Beven Spier and AG Bob Kelchner, Melody first met with our club’s executive board and was truly interested in our activities and plans.

Governor St.John joined an array of guests from the City, the Boy Scouts and friends of the club for a fun-filled lunch meeting. encouraged all of us to consider the Oaxaca Humanitarian Trip  for 2020, and in addition for our club to support a ground-breaking effort right here at home: 10 districts from three countries will be tackling massive clean water issues that plague the Navajo Nation.  And, of course, near and dear to Melody’s heart are the various district youth programs, including Youth Exchange.  Your editor was most struck by the fact that our DG shook hands and chatted with every single Rotarian and guest. What a leader!
