Sadly and painfully Hermosa Beach has lost a local legend, Alonso "Mick" Felder, Past President of Hermosa Beach Rotary and founder of Felder's Autobody and Frame Shop, an iconic business here on PCH for 50 years.
Pick any one of a myriad of nouns to describe and it wouldn't quite characterize Mick's impeccable skills and knowledge in automotive restoration-- connoisseur, aficionado, collector, curator, and motorcycle enthusiast. Still riding motorcycles at 83 years young, enthusiasts from all over the world knew and respected Mick's amazing collection and dedication to his craft. What many do not know is that Mick Felder also dedicated thousands of hours to Rotary and to the Salvation Army personally delivering Meals on Wheels to seniors and shut-ins in addition to maintaining the Youth Clubhouse in Valley Park in honor of Rotary's legacy and historic building constructed by Hermosa Rotarians.
We will miss you Mick and your warm winning smile and dedication to Service Above Self.
